Service Care Solutions are recruiting for a Support Officer to join a leading housing association in Oxford on a 12-month fixed-term contract.
This is a rewarding opportunity to support vulnerable adults living in supported accommodation, helping them develop the skills and confidence to maintain their independence and sustain their tenancies.
The Role You'll work closely with customers, colleagues and partner agencies to provide person-centred support, manage risk, and promote positive outcomes. Every day will be different as you help people overcome barriers and move towards independent living.
Key Responsibilities
✔ Supporting customers to sustain their tenancies and live independently
✔ Completing support plans, risk assessments and regular reviews
✔ Working with health professionals and external agencies
✔ Safeguarding vulnerable adults and responding to welfare concerns
✔ Maintaining accurate records and case notes
✔ Building positive relationships with customers and stakeholders
About You
✅ Experience in a customer-facing or support-based role
✅ Understanding of safeguarding and supporting vulnerable adults
✅ Ability to work with people experiencing complex needs, including mental health, substance misuse or behavioural challenges
✅ Excellent communication and organisational skills
✅ Housing experience is beneficial but not essential
An Enhanced DBS will be required for this position.
