About the Role
Waterlees Court is seeking dedicated Support Workers to join their team on a regular basis. The role involves providing high-quality, person-centred care and support to adults, helping them maintain independence and wellbeing. You will work closely with individuals, their families, and a multidisciplinary team to deliver care plans and promote autonomy.

- Afternoon shifts: start from 13:00 and run until 22:00

About the Role
Waterlees Court is seeking dedicated Support Workers to join their team on a regular basis. The role involves providing high-quality, person-centred care and support to adults, helping them maintain independence and wellbeing. You will work closely with individuals, their families, and a multidisciplinary team to deliver care plans and promote autonomy.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver a range of social care tasks including washing, dressing, showering, meal preparation, and domestic activities.
- Support individuals in engaging with community activities and maintaining independence.
- Undertake delegated healthcare tasks such as prompting medication, applying prescribed creams, and assisting with mobility exercises.
- Maintain accurate records and report on individuals’ conditions.
- Work independently in the community while adhering to care plans and safety procedures.
- Respond to emergencies appropriately and liaise with health professionals as needed.
- Previous experience providing personal care and support (paid or voluntary).
- Understanding of the Care Act 2014 principles: independence, choice, dignity, and rights.
- Knowledge of assistive equipment and common conditions affecting service users.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to record observations accurately.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Safe moving and handling skills.
- Basic IT skills for record-keeping.
- Commitment to high standards of care and anti-discriminatory practice.
- Level 2/3 Diploma in Health and Social Care or equivalent (or demonstrable experience).
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
- Driving licence and access to a vehicle.
- Enhanced DBS check required.
- Commitment to mandatory training and personal development.
