Supported Housing Support Worker – Your Responsibilities
As a Supported Housing Support Worker, you will play a vital role in helping residents maintain their tenancies and develop independence. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing person-centred support to adults with diverse needs, assisting with daily living skills.
- Supporting residents with tenancy sustainment, budgeting, understanding benefits, and accessing community services.
- Producing and maintaining detailed support plans and risk assessments, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up to date.
- Offering emotional and practical support to build confidence and resilience among residents.
- Collaborating with internal teams and partner agencies to deliver holistic support.
- Promoting a safe, clean, and supportive living environment by reporting repairs or safeguarding concerns.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have experience in supported housing, social care, homelessness services, or a similar setting.
- Be empathetic, patient, and committed to empowering others.
- Be capable of managing a caseload while maintaining accurate records and following safeguarding procedures.
- Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Demonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to build trust with vulnerable individuals.
