About the Role We are seeking a warm, enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant primary school community in Blackburn. You will work closely with class teachers to support children across Early Years or Key Stage 1, making a real difference to their learning, confidence and wellbeing every day.

What You’ll Do
- Provide high-quality support to children during lessons, small-group activities and 1:1 interventions
- Help create a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment where every child feels valued
- Support pupils’ social, emotional and academic development through positive relationships and tailored guidance
- Assist with planning, delivering and assessing engaging learning activities
- Use effective behaviour management techniques to encourage positive attitudes and independence
- Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff and parents to ensure the best outcomes for all pupils
- Contribute to the life of the school, including outdoor learning, creative play and enrichment activities
- Experience working with children in Early Years or KS1 (school or nursery experience desirable)
- A caring, patient and proactive attitude
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build trusting relationships with pupils, staff and families
- A genuine passion for supporting young children’s learning and development
- Good organisational skills and the ability to use initiative
- Relevant qualifications (Level 2/3 TA or Early Years qualification preferred but not essential for the right candidate)
