Team Manager - Duty & Assessment / Child Protection
Service Care Solutions are recruiting for an experienced Team Manager to join the Duty & Assessment / Child Protection Team at Warwickshire County Council.
Location: Warwickshire
Working Pattern: Hybrid working, 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home
Pay Rate: £41.42 per hour Umbrella (£32.46 PAYE Exclusive)
Contract: 3 months ongoing with a strong likelihood of extension

Key responsibilities include:
- Providing leadership, supervision, and support to Social Workers and Senior Practitioners.
- Overseeing referrals, assessments, and child protection investigations.
- Ensuring statutory duties and timescales are met.
- Managing complex and high-risk cases.
- Quality assuring assessments, plans, and reports.
- Supporting staff development through regular supervision and performance management.
- Working closely with partner agencies including health, education, police, and legal services.
- Driving improvement and maintaining high standards of practice across the team.
- Qualified Social Worker with a Social Work degree or equivalent.
- Current Social Work England registration.
- Previous management experience within Children's Services.
- Strong background within Duty & Assessment, Safeguarding, Child Protection, or Front Door Services.
- Experience managing complex cases and supporting practitioners in a busy environment.
- Enhanced DBS check.
