Job Title: Team Manager – Children’s Social care Services
Location: Various locations across Devon
Reporting To: Operations Manager
Salary: Up to £47.50 umb per our (Dependant on experience) £36.86 PAYE
Contract: 37 Hours per week, 3 month Contract
Working on behalf on Devon County Council, we are looking for an experienced Team manager for Childrens social serviecs.
Job Purpose
In this role, you will manage a team of social workers and family practitioners, ensuring safeguarding responsibilities are met and that children receive the support they need to thrive. You will provide professional leadership, oversee complex casework, and work closely with partner agencies to promote effective multi-agency working.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead, supervise, and support a team of social workers and practitioners.
- Ensure high-quality safeguarding practice and positive outcomes for children.
- Oversee case allocation, risk management, and service delivery.
- Provide coaching, supervision, and performance management for staff.
- Promote strong partnership working with professionals and agencies.
- Contribute to service improvement and maintain high practice standards.
- Qualified Social Worker (BA/MA Social Work, DipSW, CQSW or equivalent).
- Registered with the relevant professional body.
- Significant experience working in children’s social care, including safeguarding.
- Experience supervising, mentoring, or leading staff.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Commitment to child-centred practice and continuous improvement.
