Key Responsibilities of the Tree and Landscaping Officer:
- Provide specialist arboricultural guidance and technical assessments.
- Conduct tree inspections, site visits, and evaluate tree safety and condition.
- Process applications such as Tree Preservation Orders (TPOs) and conservation area notifications.
- Respond to inquiries and support enforcement actions relating to tree protection.
- Contribute to planning consultations, ensuring all work complies with relevant legislation.
- Help meet environmental, sustainability, and biodiversity objectives.
- Ensure all activities adhere to health & safety legislation and industry standards.
- Carry out detailed tree surveys and safety assessments.
- Prepare reports and recommendations based on site inspections.
- Liaise with internal teams, contractors, developers, and the public.
- Manage casework efficiently to meet deadlines.
- Support environmental initiatives through expert advice and planning.
- Driving to locations throughout the County (Mileage Expense paid through use of own vehicle at 0.45p per mile)
