About the Role A primary school is seeking an Unqualified Teaching Assistant to support pupils in the classroom. This role is ideal for someone with support work–type experience who is looking to move into education. No formal TA qualification is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Support pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis
  
  
• Assist with behaviour, engagement, and emotional support
  
  
• Support learning activities under teacher direction
  
  
• Help pupils during transitions, breaktimes, and lunchtimes
  
  
• Build positive relationships and act as a consistent role model
  
  
• Follow safeguarding and behaviour policies at all times
  
  

Essential Experience

• Experience in a support worker, care, youth work, mentoring, or coaching role
  
  
• Confident supporting children with behaviour or additional needs
  
  
• Calm, patient, and reliable approach
  
  
• Strong communication skills
  
  

Desirable (Not Essential)

• Experience with SEND or SEMH
