A client within the Public Sector based in Lancashire is currently recruiting for a Chartered Surveyor to join their Surveying & Valuations Team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full-time, temporary position on an ongoing basis, with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority within a surveying or property services environment.
The Role
The key purpose of the role is to provide high-quality surveying services, valuations, and professional property advice across a range of residential and commercial properties, supporting the organisation’s property portfolio and ensuring compliance with RICS standards.

The Role
The key purpose of the role is to provide high-quality surveying services, valuations, and professional property advice across a range of residential and commercial properties, supporting the organisation’s property portfolio and ensuring compliance with RICS standards.
Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Producing high-quality Surveys, RICS Red Book reports, and property valuations.
- Undertaking property inspections across residential and commercial buildings.
- Managing caseloads effectively and ensuring reports are delivered on time in line with client Terms of Business.
- Working collaboratively with internal teams, clients, and key stakeholders to maintain strong working relationships.
- Attending team meetings and providing regular updates on caseload, progress, and client instructions.
- Supporting Directors by assisting with inspections, reporting, and maintaining best practice across the service.
To be considered for this role you will require:
- AssocRICS / MRICS / FRICS qualification.
- Experience in delivering RICS surveys and valuations (residential and/or commercial).
- Strong understanding of Red Book valuation standards and/or Home Survey reporting.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a wider team.
- Strong client-facing skills with a quality-driven approach.
