Location: Tigers Place, Tigers Road, Leicester
Contract: 6 month contract with potential extension (37 hours per week)

About the Role:
Join our Vetting and Disclosure team as a Vetting Researcher. You will process sensitive information, cross-reference records, and provide advice and assistance to authorised members of the Force. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience in a supportive and professional environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and validate requests from authorised agencies and update records on the Police National Computer system.
- Provide offender history to authorised agencies in compliance with relevant legislation.
- Cross-reference correspondence with records and ensure data accuracy.
- Maintain filing systems and office equipment as required.
- Provide guidance and support to Force members on vetting matters.
Essential skills and experience:
- GCSE Grade C/4 or equivalent in English Language or equivalent work experience.
- Experience in clerical/administrative roles requiring attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; typing speed of 25 wpm.
- Ability to work under deadlines and handle sensitive information.
- Team player with proactive problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of Data Protection, Freedom of Information, Human Rights, and Computer Misuse legislation.
- Experience using multiple databases simultaneously.
- Familiarity with Police National Computer and local police/court information systems.
