We are currently recruiting for a Village Manager to join a leading housing provider on a temporary basis with the potential for permanent employment. This is an exciting opportunity for skilled individuals with a background in housing management, tenancy services, or neighbourhood management.

About the Village Manager Role

As a Village Manager, you will take ownership of a designated housing patch within East Village, London (E20). Your primary goal will be to deliver exceptional landlord services across a mixed-tenure portfolio, fostering vibrant, safe, and well-maintained communities. This varied role combines tenancy management, estate inspections, customer service, and partnership collaboration, offering a dynamic work environment.

Key Responsibilities of the Village Manager include:

  • Managing a designated patch of properties, ensuring excellent tenancy and neighbourhood management
  • Letting vacant homes and supporting efficient void turnaround
  • Managing rent arrears and assisting residents with income maximisation
  • Investigating and resolving Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) cases
  • Conducting estate inspections to keep communal areas safe and clean
  • Supporting residents to sustain successful tenancies
  • Working closely with repair teams to resolve housing issues promptly
  • Building positive relationships with residents, contractors, and partner agencies
  • Maintaining accurate housing records and customer information
  • Providing outstanding customer service aligned with key performance indicators
  • Proactively identifying and addressing potential issues before escalation
  • Ensuring compliance with safeguarding, health & safety, and housing legislation
Candidate Profile

The ideal Village Manager will possess:

  • Previous experience in housing, neighbourhood, or tenancy management
  • Strong customer service skills and relationship-building aptitude
  • Experience managing ASB, tenancy issues, and resident enquiries
  • Knowledge of housing legislation and tenancy management processes
  • Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong IT skills and accuracy in record-keeping
  • A proactive, organised, and customer-focused approach
