Announcement
Service Care Solutions (SCS) is delighted to have been awarded the national agency Probation contract.
This award will see SCS appointed as the national Managed Service Provider (MSP) for Operational Contingent Labour, overseeing the delivery of frontline Probation staff and providing a single, trusted route for hiring managers, agency workers and supply partners.
This represents an exciting new chapter for SCS and our relationship with the Probation Service. We are committed to making the transition as straightforward as possible for contractors, and to providing clear communication and support throughout the mobilisation process.
This FAQ has been created to answer the questions we expect you may have about the new contract, the transition to SCS, and what happens next.
Contractors Transferring From Red Snapper
SCS has been awarded the national agency contract for temporary operational Probation workers.
The contract covers Probation’s frontline staffing requirements across all regions of England and Wales, and is due to commence on 2 November 2026.
As part of the transition, contractors currently working through Red Snapper will transfer to SCS.
Yes, all Red Snapper’s contractors will need to transfer to SCS to continue in their assignment after November 2nd.
Red Snapper will send communications to you to obtain your consent to share your documents and compliance with SCS.
Once they have received this, Red Snapper will send your documents to SCS to be verified and checked in line with the contract.
SCS will then contact you to carry out its own right to work checks and to let you know if any additional information or documents are required.
Your dedicated SCS consultant will work with and support you throughout this process to ensure a smooth transition ahead of joining us on Monday, November 2.
No, your current assignment won’t be affected by this change, unless your hiring manager confirms otherwise.
Once transferred, SCS will honour your current assignment end date.
Red Snapper will continue to provide any updates regarding your placement until the contract change on November 2.
Pay rates will be unaffected by this change of contract and your pay rate will remain the same following the transfer to SCS.
