ADHD Specialist Certification – Diagnosis & Management
Our ADHD Specialist Certification programmes are designed to equip clinicians with the knowledge, structure, and confidence to deliver high-quality ADHD assessment and treatment across the lifespan.
Aligned with DSM-5 and NICE NG87 guidance, these courses support safe, evidence-based clinical practice and defensible decision-making.
Diagnosis Course
This course provides a structured, clinically focused approach to ADHD assessment and diagnosis in both children and adults, using recognised frameworks and validated tools to improve diagnostic accuracy.
What you will learn
- ADHD across the lifespan
- DSM-5 diagnostic criteria in practice
- Structured assessment frameworks
- Use of tools including DIVA-5
- Developmental history and functional impairment
- Differential diagnosis and comorbidities
- Child vs adult diagnostic pathways
- Ethical and medico-legal considerations
Outcome
You will be able to conduct structured ADHD assessments with confidence and consistency, gathering and interpreting relevant clinical information to support accurate evaluation. You will also be able to deliver clear, evidence-based, and defensible diagnoses that are aligned with current best practice guidelines and professional standards.
Management Course
This programme focuses on the safe and effective management of ADHD, covering medication, monitoring, and holistic care approaches.

You will also develop the skills to optimise patient outcomes, promote continuity of care, and ensure ongoing monitoring and follow-up throughout the treatment journey.
SCS Candidate Support Package
We actively invest in clinicians joining ADHD pathways:
- Minimum £250 CPD contribution towards course fees for all active SCS candidates
- Full course fee reimbursement available
- Subject to completion of agreed clinical hours/assessments
- To be achieved within 24 months post-qualification
