ADI-R Specialist Certification – Autism Assessment
This certification focuses on the Autism Diagnostic Interview–Revised (ADI-R), a gold-standard structured assessment used within multidisciplinary autism diagnostic pathways.
The training equips clinicians to gather, interpret, and apply developmental history in a clinically robust and evidence-based way.
What You’ll Learn
- Autism Spectrum Disorder in line with DSM-5 and ICD-11
- Structure and clinical application of the ADI-R
- Conducting detailed developmental history interviews
- Assessment across key domains (communication, social interaction, behaviours)
- ADI-R scoring, coding, and diagnostic algorithms
- Role of ADI-R alongside ADOS-2 and SCQ
- Differential diagnosis considerations
- Translating findings into clinical reports
- Patient communication and managing misconceptions
Outcome
You will be able to confidently contribute to multidisciplinary autism assessments using the ADI-R within structured diagnostic pathways. The certification will strengthen your skills in developmental history taking, clinical interviewing, diagnostic reasoning, and report writing, enabling you to support accurate, evidence-based autism diagnoses across a range of clinical settings.
