For the second time ever, Service Care Solutions have taken on another student placement in the Marketing team. Phoebe Jolley is a Year 10 pupil at All Hallows Catholic High School, studying Cambridge P.E, Spanish, and Technology, while also sharing an interest in social media.

Work experience is useful as it provides core skills in the workplace as well as improving social skills. It also allows students the experience they need to get an insight as to what the workplace is like and what to expect, but also, having the chance to get out of your comfort zone and discovering new routines.

Now let’s introduce you to our student placement, Phoebe Jolley.

Why did you choose your options?

I chose to study P.E, Spanish, and Technology as all three of these subjects cover my interests and will be useful for me in later life when wanting to go down a career path based on my passions. P.E is important to me as I would like to work in sport, preferably football, which is where Spanish comes into as being able to speak another language is almost becoming vital in the world of football today. I then chose technology as my final subject as it allows me to express my creativity by letting my imaginations come to life as we spend 2 years studying and creating new products.

What is your favourite Netflix series?

My favourite Netflix series would either be FRIENDS or The Office.

Why do you enjoy sport?

Sport can motivate people to get active and is also an opportunity to make new friends and improve social skills. I have a great love for sport, but above all, a deep passion for football. Football allows me to be creative in ways normal school subjects won’t allow. Playing football is my favourite thing to do and it benefits me immensely. I am able to express myself on the pitch in ways I didn’t think was possible as I let my passion and desire take over. I also enjoy other sports and watching people achieve their dreams and create history in sport which gives me the inspiration to do the same.

What has been your favourite time abroad so far?

My favourite time abroad was definitely when I went to Spain to train at Real Madrid. I loved playing against Spanish teams and then getting pictures after the matches together. It was the best thing that I have ever done, and I hope to go back again.

What are your aspirations for the future?

I hope to have a career involved in football and devote my time to the sport. Being part of a team is the norm for me as I have been part of numerous ones growing up. The best part is being able to be there and support each other and when you win and lose you do it together. If football doesn’t work out, then a career in social media is also something I will consider for later life.

If you could describe yourself in 3 words, what would they be?

I would describe myself as optimistic, funny and hardworking.

Why did you choose SCS for your work experience?

I chose Service Care Solutions as my placement for work experience because I had an interest in social media marketing and thanks to my mum, who is a finance manager at Service Care Solutions, I was made aware of the marketing team at the agency.

What did your cover in your time at SCS?

I managed to get involved with a range of different aspects of social media. I got together content to make TikTok's , I did some courses online to give me a deeper understanding of social media marketing, I created polls, I studied competitors, I created giveaways, and finally, I created posters using Canva.

What did you really enjoy during your time at SCS?

I really enjoyed learning more about TikTok by watching online courses and making notes that will help me in the future. I also really liked making editing clips and putting them together to create videos for TikTok.
