Supporting Warwickshire County Council

In July, Warwickshire County Council, hosted an event, with the aim of creating a fun day out for those who are foster carers, birth children, children looked after, and anyone who has contributed to the fostering role.

The purpose of the event was to create an opportunity to give back to the community in foster care, for all the hard work carers have put in over the year, whilst also encouraging families to meet with carers and other networks. The event consisted of young children and families taking part in a wide range of fun activities including, pedalos, archery, crazy golf, and more.

Warwickshire County Council continuously aims to create a positive area for those within care to grow up within, and with fun opportunities and events, this can allow individuals to feel a sense of inclusion and the chance to meet families within the same situation. As part of our ongoing partnership with Warwickshire County Council, we decided to contribute to this event.

Aligning with our Service Care Solutions values, we highly regard our relationships with our clients, and giving back to our community, when and where is possible. At SCS, we have also signed up to be a Child-Friendly Warwickshire Friend, a programme that brings the county together, with the mission to create opportunities and lasting positive change for children and young people. Along with other local organisations, we donated £250 worth of gift vouchers to Warwickshire County Council, ahead of the event to help contribute to the fun raffle on the day.

Josh Holland, our Divisional Lead for Social Work said, “It’s great to be able to support Warwickshire County Council and Child-Friendly Warwickshire in this initiative. We have worked with Warwickshire County Council for some time now and being able to directly impact the people of Warwickshire through our partnership, really does feel great. As a business that values both its relationships and the impact it can have on communities, whether that be our local community or the ones of our partners, we champion the work Child-Friendly Warwickshire do and we are looking forward to supporting them for many years to come.”

At Service Care Solutions, we take immense pride in being a child-friendly Warwickshire friend, with our commitment to supporting and safeguarding the welfare of children within the community at the core of our Social Work values. We are proud to be a part of helping to create a safe environment for young children and working closely in partnership with authorities like Warwickshire County Council to achieve this.
