Job Description:
A Local Authority based in Dorset is looking for a part-time accountant to join their team on an initial 12 month contract. Reporting into the Senior Accountant, the post holder will provide support to Corporate Development and Legal Services as well as provide support for Capital monitoring across the Council.
The Council is entering a period of significant transformation as it aims to reduce its expenditure whilst maintaining a high quality of service provision. The Transformation Programme is the vehicle through which the transformation is being delivered and Accountancy are key stakeholders in the support of this transformation, whilst at the same time having to transform itself
The Ideal Candidate:
- Minimum AAT or Equivalent
- Evidence of CPD
- Detailed knowledge of Local Government finance/accounting
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiating skills
