Job Description

We are currently recruiting for an Administrator to work in the Children and Young People's Service in Wakefield. This position is 37 hours p/w for an initial period of 3 months. Apply now to be considered!

The ideal candidate for this position will be experienced in the use of Microsoft Office (including Exel, Word, Outlook and Teams) and be willing to learn other specialist programmes used across the service. We are looking for candidates with good communication skills, the ability to work as part of a team, time management skills and attention to detail.

Duties include:

  • Diary Management (booking meetings, sending out invitations) using an electronic calendar system
  • Dealing with telephone calls (from public, professionals and internal colleagues)
  • Manning Reception Desk (dealing with general enquiries, directing people to the right meeting rooms etc)
  • Data Input/updating (using MS office documents, spreadsheets and dedicated social care system)
  • Minute taking (using a laptop)

Due to the nature of the role it is essential that candidates are fully aware of all aspects of data protection and confidentiality as you will be dealing with extremely sensitive and emotive information on a daily basis including information relating to the abuse and injuries of children and young people.

This is an office based role working 37 hours per week and is a temporary position for up to 3 months

Core office hours are:

Monday to Thursday - 8.30hrs -17.00hrs

Friday - 8.30hrs -16.30hrs
