Work Pattern: Mon-Fri 9am-5pm

Job Description:
We are currently seeking a motivated and dedicated Adult Offender Support Worker to join our team in Nottingham. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support and guidance to young people who have been involved in the criminal justice system, with a particular focus on preventing reoffending.

As an Adult Offender Support Worker, your primary duties will include:

  • Providing one-to-one support to young people who have been involved in the criminal justice system, helping them to address any issues that may be contributing to their offending behaviour.
  • Developing and implementing individual support plans that are tailored to each young person's specific needs and circumstances.
  • Working with other professionals, such as probation officers and youth workers, to ensure that young people receive the best possible support and care.
  • Delivering group work sessions that are designed to promote positive behaviours and attitudes among young people, and to reduce the risk of reoffending.
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation relating to the support provided to young people, and reporting progress and outcomes to senior colleagues.


Requirements:

  • A relevant qualification in social work, youth work, or a related field.
  • Experience of working with young people who have been involved in the criminal justice system, and a good understanding of the issues and challenges that they may face.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with young people, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage a busy workload and prioritise tasks effectively.
  • A commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion in all aspects of the role.

Also, will be required to go through an enhanced DBS check.
