Adult Social Care Lawyer

Service Care Legal is currently working on behalf of a local authority, based in Somerset, which is in need of an experienced Adult Social Care Lawyer to join their team. The successful candidate will advise and support the council on all aspects of Deprivation of Liberty (S21A, S15/16 and S29 MHA), ordinary residence and other aspects of ASC work.

ROLE: Adult Social Care Lawyer

RATE: £50-£60ph

CONTRACT LENGTH: 3 months rolling

LOCATION: Somerset - hybrid/remote working

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide legal advice on complex issues related to Adult Social Care
  • Represent this company in court and tribunals
  • Draft legal documents and contracts
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations

Requirements

  • Qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive or Barrister with a minimum of 3 years of PQE in Adult Social Care law
  • Experience in Adult Social Care law, including Deprivation of Liberty (S21A, S15/16 and S29 MHA) and ordinary residence
  • Experience in representing clients in court and tribunals
  • Someone who has worked for a public sector organisation within an Adult Social Care legal team
