🔍 About the Role:
As an Adults Wellbeing Advisor, you’ll work at the heart of adult social care, helping people navigate life’s challenges with dignity and independence. You’ll offer tailored advice, complete needs assessments, and support individuals in developing their own wellbeing plans — empowering them to thrive.
🧩 Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert, person-centred advice and support on a wide range of wellbeing issues
- Conduct meaningful assessments and co-develop personalised wellbeing plans
- Facilitate first-contact resolution through strengths-based conversations
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure coordinated support
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local resources, community services, and referral routes
- Identify and escalate safeguarding concerns as needed
- Accurately record all interactions and outcomes using council IT systems
- Experience in health, social care, or community advisory roles
- Excellent communication, empathy, and active listening skills
- Confident working both independently and as part of a team
- Strong IT skills (Microsoft Office, case management systems)
- Ability to navigate sensitive conversations and build trust with adults and their carers
- Enhanced DBS check (required or willingness to complete one)
- Competitive hourly pay rate (equivalent to £25,000 – £30,000 per year)
