Hammersmith, West London
Temp, 3 Month Contract (Potential for Extension)
Full-time, Monday-Friday, 36 hours - Work From Home 3 Days a week

Our client is looking to hire for the new financial year, with the start date being 08/04/2024. The role would require the direct line management of 3 officers. Please note a DBS is essential to the role.

Responsibilities

  • To lead on the delivery of a first class lettings, allocations and void management service whilst ensuring that organisational goals, vision and statutory obligations are met at all times.

  • To deliver the fair allocation of housing, nominations to Registered Providers, mobility schemes and other housing options in line with the organisations housing allocations scheme and housing quota plans.
  • To develop, implement and manage relevant policies and procedures in areas of allocations, voids and lettings, using business intelligence and transformation to improve, monitor and review the voids and lettings process, setting and monitoring appropriate performance targets to deliver an efficient and streamlined services.
  • To be responsible for budget management for the Allocations and Lettings Service area forecasting and monitoring budgetary projections to deliver the service within budget and produce periodic budget monitoring information.

Essential Requirements

  • Working knowledge of housing law relating to security of tenure and the rights and duties of tenants and landlords, including protection from eviction and legal processes.

  • The ability to contribute and in some cases lead on strategic and policy Development.
  • Experience of leading and managing multiple teams of staff delivering complex services across a range of disciplines.

  • Ability to operationalise complex legal, policy, and procedural guidance to ensure effective service delivery.

  • Ability to supervise, motivate, and performance manage officers directly reporting to the postholder.

  • The ability to evaluate the service's policy and practice relating to legal issues, and to identify and implement service improvements through changes in working practices, training and coaching.
