Are you passionate about trees and outdoor work? Do you have the skills and experience to manage and maintain tree populations in both urban and rural environments? We are currently recruiting for a skilled Arborist to join a respected public sector team focused on environmental and land management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of arboricultural tasks including tree felling, planting, pruning, and preservation.
- Use a range of equipment including chainsaws, chippers, and stump grinders.
- Conduct on-site assessments to identify tree-related hazards or issues.
- Support tree inspections and surveys alongside arboricultural specialists.
- Ensure the safe management of public spaces by trimming around electrical lines and public paths.
- Complete work to industry standards, complying with risk assessments and safety guidelines.
- Maintain and secure all tools and machinery, conducting pre-start checks and reporting defects.
- Assist with emergency planning operations and community events as required.
About you: Essential:
- CS30/31 qualifications
- Valid UK Driver’s Licence
- Experience in ground-based arboricultural work
- Proficient use of grounds maintenance equipment
- Strong awareness of health & safety in outdoor environments
- A proactive, safety-conscious mindset and team-oriented approach
- CS38/39, CS40/41
- Wood Chipper certificate
- B+E driving licence
- Experience in tree climbing and advanced pruning techniques
- LANTRA or NPTC Stump Grinder certification
