Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay Rate: £27 per hour (Umbrella) | £21.71 per hour (PAYE, inclusive)
Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Band 6 CAMHS Nurse with a specialism in Learning Disabilities to join a supportive NHS team in Bristol. The successful candidate will provide high-quality mental health care to children and adolescents with learning disabilities, working as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments for children and young people with learning disabilities.
- Develop, implement, and review care plans in collaboration with service users, families, and other professionals.
- Deliver evidence-based interventions tailored to individual needs.
- Provide crisis intervention and risk management support.
- Liaise with schools, social services, and other healthcare providers to ensure coordinated care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records in line with NHS standards.
- Participate in team meetings, supervision, and training sessions.
- Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with valid NMC registration.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in CAMHS or with children and young people with learning disabilities.
- Strong understanding of safeguarding procedures and mental health legislation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
