Building Surveyor

Job Description

A client within the Public Sector based in the Northwest is currently recruiting for a Building Surveyor to join their team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full time, temporary position on an ongoing basis with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority within a construction environment.

The Role

Key purpose of the role is to provide strategic management of the council's property, schools and highway assets to ensure that they meet the aims of the Corporate Strategy and support service delivery across the county.

Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Design and delivery of a large and varied portfolio of building projects across the county.
  • Deliver a high-quality, cost-effective service to a variety of Educational establishments and corporate buildings.
  • Work both independently and as part of a wider multidisciplinary team include Architects, Building Services Engineers, Interior designers, geotechnical specialists, landscape architects and ecologists.

The Candidate

To be considered for this role you will require a chartered status and be RICS / CIOB registered or working towards this professional standard with a background in construction and Building surveying.

The below skills would be beneficial for the role:

  • be competent using AutoCAD
  • ability to build lasting working relationships with clients and colleagues
  • confidence to succeed and drive projects forward whilst providing innovative solutions to any building and design related challenges

The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering £27 per hour Umbrella LTD Inside IR35.
