We are looking for an well experienced and qualified Carpenter to work for a housing association based in North London. The candidate must focus on delivering high levels of customer satisfaction and complete any job to high standards of the job specification. It is essential that every customer receives a satisfactory experience by delivering on promises; give respect; be accountable; show kindness.

About the job
You'll be responsible repairs and maintenance in a domestic setting working with an established housing association to cover the renovation of void or filled properties and bringing them back
to standard for existing tenants or ready for new tenants to accommodate. Top notch customer service skills, enthusiasm and a 'can-do' attitude will all be essential as you'll be an ambassador for the company as you go from property to property carrying out work to the highest of standards.

As a Multi Trader Carpenter / Joiner within this team you will be responsible for (not limited to);

  • Cut and shape timber for floorboards, skirting boards and window frames
  • Make and assemble doors, window frames, staircases and fitted furniture
  • Fit wooden structures, like floor and roof joists, roof timbers, staircases, partition walls, and door and window frames (first fixings)
  • Install skirting boards, door surrounds, doors, cupboards and shelving, as well as door handles and locks (second fixings)
  • Build temporary wooden supports to hold concrete in place while it sets, for example building foundations (formwork)



Candidate Requirements:

  • Minimum City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Previous Experience (4+ years) Working in Domestic Settings


This is a fantastic opportunity to secure sociable, full time hours Monday to
Friday. You will be working a standard 8am - 5pm hour week with potential to take overtime. Specialist tools will be supplied but own basic hand tools will be
required. A company van will also be supplied for work purposes.
