Catering Team Leader

Service Care Construction are currently recruiting on behalf of a housing association based in the Lambeth area who require a catering team leader to join their team on a permanent basis. Previous experience within a similar role and a Full UK Driving License is essential for this position. This is a full time role working 40 hours per week

The role:

· Based across six locations so must be able to travel to each site (rota arranged with manager)
· Typically Monday to Friday working 9am-5pm, some weekends may be required
· Presentation and preparation of menu items
· Managing the beverage ordering
· Regenerating, displaying and serving of food and beverages
· Undertake dining rooms duties including setting up and clearing away of the dining area
· Ensuring a friendly and positive environment
· Involve customers in meal preparation to ensure preferences are recognized
· Be responsive to any complaints or suggestions made by customers
· Provide full line management to kitchen assistants including performance management, training and motivation
· Arrange and participate in staff meetings
· Ensure health and safety standards and hygiene standards at all times
· Prepare staff rota
· Maintain stock levels and carry out stock control

What we are looking for:
· Knowledge and experience of maintaining health and safety regulations in a kitchen environment
· Food hygiene certificate level 2 or willingness to undertake this
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills
· Ability to plan and organise the team
· Ability to control a budget
· Ability to work under pressure and make quick decisions
· High standards of cleanliness, hygiene and presentation skills
· Experience of designing and the costings of menus
· Excellent customer service skills
· Experience of catering
· Experience in supervising a team
