Childcare Advocate

Service Care Legal are currently working alongside a bustling local authority, based in Berkshire, which is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Childcare Advocate to join their Joint Legal Team. As a shared service, this local authority cases across many different aspects of public children law for six separate client authorities.

ROLE: Childcare Advocate

LOCATION: Berkshire

RATE: £50-£55ph

CONTRACT LENGTH: 3 months ongoing

Key Responsibilities

  • Advocate at all levels of the Family Court, Court of Protection and Education Tribunals
  • Work closely with the childcare lawyer who has conduct of the case
  • Assist in case preparation and strategic planning to achieve the best outcome for the case
  • Cover hearings on behalf of the whole team

Requirements

  • Qualified solicitor or barrister with at least 3 years of experience in public children law
  • Extensive knowledge of the Family Court, Court of Protection and Education Tribunals
  • Excellent advocacy skills
