Social Care Solutions are looking for an Experienced Children's Social Worker in Croydon
The Children with Disabilities Team is a fast-paced busy service, the team provides services for Children with severe and complex disabilities. The work spans working with Children Looked After, CIN, CP and Care Proceedings.
* Qualified and registered Social Workers / Advanced Social Workers who are Social Work England registered, and have completed your AYSE
* Skilled in managing complex cases and competent in presenting cases in court with demonstrable professionalism and empathy
* Your experience of working in a statutory setting is desirable however not essential
* The successful candidate will have experience in designing and implementing care plans. Strong written skills are important alongside the ability to undertake direct work with children and young people.
* Your experience of working in a statutory setting will allow you to operate with confidence and emotional intelligence - making effective assessments, implementing plans, delivering interventions.
* Undertaking assessments and an ability to analyse information relating to risk are key elements of the work. Experience of court work would be advantageous.
* Maintaining case files, leading networks, skills in recording direct work are essential, as is the completion of appropriate forms and documents, reviews, and correspondence according to Departmental Codes of Practice. You will possess a degree in social work, or equivalent qualification. SW England registration required, and the role is subject to an Enhanced DBS check
Job Specification:
Weekly Hours - 36
Assignment Duration - Initially 6 months.
Weekly Hours: 09:00-17.00
For this position you must also have:
- Professional Social Work Qualification
- Be SW England registered
