Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting for an experienced social worker to join the Care Planning and Proceedings team at Vale of Glamorgan Council. This will initially be a temporary position for 3 months but with a view to being extended on a rolling basis with the successful candidate able to work from home for the duration of the role.

This is an excellent time to join the council as they can provide a capped caseload of 12 cases and competitive pay rates of at least £36 per hour, with the potential for this to be increased up to £40 per hour for a candidate with the right level of experience. In addition, the successful candidate will be joining a supportive, small team where you will benefit from monthly supervision with a manager, access to a dedicated administrative officer, family support worker and social care officer to provide an extra level of support. On top of this, you will also have access to life Journey Work Practitioners who assist with life journey work for children placed in adoptive placements.

The ideal candidate will have:
* A minimum of 18 months experience
* Experience of overseeing pre proceedings and care proceedings
* Able to produce good quality reports and written work
* Able to meet deadlines
* Full UK Driving License
* Registered with Social Care Wales
