We are currently recruiting for a dedicated Band 6 Community Psychiatric Nurse (CPN) to join a well-established community mental health team in Nottingham. This is a long-term locum opportunity offering stability, flexibility, and the chance to make a real difference in the lives of service users with a range of mental health conditions.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality, person-centred care as part of a multidisciplinary team, supporting individuals in their own homes and community settings. Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake comprehensive mental health assessments and formulate care plans.
- Provide clinical interventions to adults with complex mental health needs.
- Carry out risk assessments and implement appropriate risk management strategies.
- Monitor mental health status, medication compliance, and treatment outcomes.
- Liaise with GPs, social care, inpatient units, and families/carers as part of the care coordination role.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in line with NHS standards.
- NMC registration as a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN).
- Previous experience as a Band 6 CPN or equivalent within community mental health.
- Strong assessment, care planning, and risk management skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Up-to-date knowledge of mental health legislation and safeguarding practices.
- Competitive hourly rate of £26 per hour LTD (PAYE options available)
