Job Title: Criminal Justice Recovery Practitioner
Location: South East London
Rate: £22 - £23 P/H Ltd Umbrella (£20.33 PAYE Inclusive)

Role Overview
: As a Criminal Justice Recovery Practitioner in South East London, your primary focus will be to support service users identified through the Criminal Justice System to mitigate substance misuse related harm and reduce reoffending. Collaborating with the National Probation Service and other relevant agencies, you will deliver interventions in line with court order requirements, facilitate individualized care planning, and ensure seamless transitions between different justice system stakeholders. Your role will also involve maintaining high standards of record-keeping and compliance with information governance protocols.

Role-Specific Responsibilities
:
  1. Work in partnership with the National Probation Service and other appropriate agencies.
  2. Deliver DRR/ATR and other relevant interventions as per National Probation Service and court order requirements.
  3. Provide a seamless link between probation, police/court custody suites, prison, and the community.
  4. Offer assessments and information to courts and criminal justice agencies on the suitability for specialist interventions.
  5. Facilitate individualized care planning and reviews with partners and service users.
  6. Ensure accurate record-keeping and adherence to information governance/sharing policies.
Person Specification:
  • Excellent understanding of drug and alcohol issues and/or experience in the criminal justice or related field (Essential).
  • Experience in supporting and advising individuals with complex barriers to success (Essential).
  • Knowledge of the Criminal Justice system (Desirable).
  • Experience of working within Criminal Justice Partnerships and multiagency systems/teams (Essential).
  • Knowledge of effective interventions for reducing drug-related crime (Essential).
  • Experience in conducting assessments, risk management, and escalation procedures (Essential).
  • Effective communication skills, including written, verbal, and documentation abilities (Essential).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team (Essential).
  • Qualification in criminal justice, substance misuse, counseling, or relevant field (Desirable).
  • Willingness to work across multiple sites as required.
