Job Specification: Cyber Security Team Lead


Service Care Solutions is recruiting for a top legal firm for the role of Cyber Security Team Lead. This position offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to join a well-respected law firm with offices across the UK, providing leadership and guidance to the Cyber Security team.

Salary: £73,000- £80,000 + benefits



Purpose of the Role

  • Provide hands-on leadership in the development, integrity, and availability of client data.
  • Act as the primary interface for Cyber Security within the company and IT Department.
  • Manage day-to-day operations and guidance of the Cyber Security Team.
  • Liaise with third parties to ensure system patching, vulnerability resolution, and system hardening.
  • Create and manage the Security Cloud migration process.
  • Handle complaints and escalations effectively.
  • Develop and update security support documentation, processes, and procedures.
  • Lead forensic investigations and reporting of post-cyber security incidents.
  • Ensure infrastructure security from new system implementations to ongoing maintenance and monitoring.
  • Manage team performance and growth.


Essential Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience leading a Cyber Security Team.
  • Strong understanding of infrastructure and application technologies: Server 2012+, ESX/VMware, Messaging (Exchange 2016+), IIS, SQL 2012+, Linux appliances.
  • Proven history in planning, developing, and implementing Azure security technologies.
  • Comprehensive understanding of security approaches: ISMS, risk analysis, CIA triad, attack vectors, confidentiality, and cyber security.
  • Qualifications such as Security+, SSCP, CISP, CEH, CCNA, CCNA Security are highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in managing and growing a team.


General Duties

  • Operate within an ITIL V3 & ISO27001 focused service delivery framework.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships effectively.
  • Work to defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest security threats, principles, techniques, and protocols.
