Job Title: Data Architect
Location: Nettleham Fire and Police HQ, Lincolnshire
Contract Type: Temporary (12 months)
Start Date: 5th January 2025
End Date: 10th January 2026
Working Pattern:

  • Monday to Thursday: 08:30 – 16:30

  • Friday: 08:30 – 16:00
    Pay Rate:

  • £29.06 per hour PAYE

  • £38.96 per hour Umbrella

Service Care Solutions is proud to be supporting Lincolnshire Police in their search for a highly experienced Data Architect to join their Digital and Data Solutions Directorate. This is an opportunity to play a pivotal role in modernising and shaping the Force's data landscape to support strategic and operational policing outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design and implementation of the Force’s overall data architecture.

  • Provide subject matter expertise to both internal departments and partner organisations.

  • Support intelligence, research, investigations, and decision-making through effective data structuring.

  • Guide and mentor a team including Data Engineers, BI Developers, Dashboard Designers, and more.

  • Align architectural design with national and regional data strategies.

  • Promote data governance, compliance, and quality across the Force.

Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Data Architect or similar, with hands-on cloud platform experience (e.g. Azure, AWS).

  • Skilled in SQL, data modelling, ETL tools, and data visualisation platforms such as PowerBI or Qlik.

  • Strong analytical, leadership, and project management capabilities.

  • Degree in Computer Science, IT or related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Knowledge of data privacy and security standards (e.g., GDPR).

  • Full UK Driving Licence and ability to obtain security clearance.

Desirable:
  • Previous experience in public sector or police data environments.

  • Certification in data architecture or related domains.
