Service Care Legal are currently working alongside a Local Authority, based in Berkshire, which is in need of a Paralegal to join their Education and Adult Social Care legal team. Please find below details of the position:

Role: Education and Adult Social Care Paralegal

Location: Berkshire, hybrid working

Contract Length: 4 months rolling

Rate: £15-£16ph

The duties involved in the Education and Adult Social Care Paralegal role:

  • Assist a team of Solicitors and other paralegals with Education and Adult Social Care law cases
  • The role will involve handling Court of Protection cases, S21A cases, Mental Health cases and any other matters brought to the council's Adult Social care legal team
  • Perform any duties necessary in order to facilitate the successful running of the team

The Person:

  • Someone with 12 months of experience as a Paralegal, ideally within an Education and Adult Social Care Legal team
  • To have completed a Law Degree/CILEx Level 6 or Legal Practice Course
  • Any Local Authority or judicial review legal experience would be highly advantageous but not essential. The manager will consider candidates who have worked in private practices as long as they are experienced with the Court of Protection paperwork
