Job Description

This company is seeking a School Organisation & Provision SEND Officer to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for writing and amending EHC plans following a statutory assessment of need or annual review.

Key Responsibilities

  • Write and amend EHC plans following a statutory assessment of need or annual review.
  • Work collaboratively with other professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for children and young people with SEND.
  • Provide advice and support to schools and other settings regarding the SEND Code of Practice and associated legislation.
  • Attend and contribute to meetings with parents/carers, schools and other professionals as required.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the SEND strategy and action plan.
  • Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with the company's policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Experience of working with children and young people with SEND.
  • Knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and associated legislation.
  • Experience of writing EHC plans.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other professionals.
  • Good organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility and adaptability.
  • Full driving licence and access to a vehicle.
