Service Care Solutions has a new and exciting opportunity which has become available working as a EHCP Caseworker with Stockport Council
Stockport Council are currently looking for someone who is happy to work 37 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the EHC assessment process in line with statutory timelines.
- Act as the named officer, collaborating with parents, carers, and professionals to ensure person-centered, legally compliant casework.
- Handle complex cases and deliver difficult decisions using restorative approaches.
- Resolve conflicts, chair conciliation meetings, and prepare for Tribunal (SENDIST) hearings when required.
- Ensure appropriate provision and placement for children with SEND, including Looked After Children (LAC).
- Liaise with multi-agency partners to ensure seamless collaboration.
Key Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children and young people with SEN.
- Extensive multi-agency working experience.
- Knowledge of relevant SEND legislation, including the Children and Families Act 2014 and safeguarding practices.
- Strong communication, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage high-pressure caseloads and complex multi-agency meetings.

- Hybrid role: Only 1 day per week in the office; work from home the rest of the time.
