Evidence Purge Assistant - Police

Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting for a Evidence Purge Assistant to work on a full-time, long-term contract with a local police force in Reading.

Job purpose:

To work withEMUto destroy items of property identified as suitable whilst making sure that this isdocumented in accordance with current policy and procedures providing a high quality service to both external and internal customers.

Responsibilities:

Dispose of property in accordance with current Evidence Management policy and procedures. Ensuring all property is searched and checked as appropriate and ensuring compliance with manual handling regulations

Update and maintain records, and where appropriate, issue documents (e.g. transfer sheets) to maintain audits

Deal with telephone/personal enquiries, promptly initiating action when necessary to ensure departmental service levels are maintained

Undertake such training as is required to develop the personal skills and knowledge. The role is physically demanding and requires working in areas that can be affected by the climate.

Experience:

Good standard of education to GCSE or equivalent level, excellent literacy and numeracy skills and proven communication skills at all levels.

Good attention to detail and listening skills.

Willingnessto undertake training in Manual Handling.

UK Driving licence and access to own vehicle
