Service Care Solutions are looking for an Exchequer Assistant to work within the Lincolnshire Police on a 6-month contract.
Location: Nettleham
Job role/responsibilities:
To assist the Exchequer Services Manager in the provision of a professional exchequer service to personnel and creditors of the Authority.
- To process creditor invoices in an accurate and timely manner to ensure that creditors are paid within agreed time parameters.
- To undertake HQ Cashier duties
- To process petty cash returns and ensure all costs are appropriately supported in a timely manner.
- To undertake supplier statement reconciliation as required
- To process Purchase Orders and where applicable make purchases.
- To book travel and hotel accommodation using the travel system and deal with any queries with these.
- To resolve exchequer related queries in a prompt and polite manner.
- To ensure that all exchequer processes are completed within predetermined timetables.
- To promote best practice in exchequer matters across the Force, providing training, advice, and guidance to personnel in Force.
Knowledge/Experience required:
- Demonstrates cash handling and/or banking experience.
- Ability to develop strong working relationships with members of staff.
- Communicates effectively and clearly both verbally and in writing avoiding jargon with staff and general public.
- Knowledge of a computerised financial system (desired)
- Demonstrates knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
