Facilities Manager

A client within the Public Sector based in Cardiff is currently recruiting for a Facilities Manager to join their team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full time, temporary position on an ongoing basis with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority.

The Role

Key purpose of the role is to be accountable for the operational delivery of high-quality catering, housekeeping & maintenance service.

To be accountable for the fabric of the building and tangible assets including planned preventative maintenance (PPM), waste management, contract and contractor management, security, utilities, and energy sustainability.

Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Provision of leadership and management of FM services i.e. catering, housekeeping, maintenance teams within the organisation
  • Accountable for the provision of a high quality and safe food service to patients, relatives, and staff throughout the day
  • Accountable for the provision/supervision of a dedicated cleaning and housekeeping service
  • Accountable for the provision/supervision of a dedicated maintenance team providing in house service for minor repairs, painting and decorating, basic maintenance tasks, and general portering duties.

The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering £18 per hour Umbrella LTD Inside IR35.
