Job Type: Fixed Term Contract (3 Months - Likelihood of extension)

Salary: 12.64-15.47 per hour - 35 hour week

Job Description:

A Local Authority based in Central London is looking for a Finance & Payroll Assistant to join their team on an initial 3 month contract (with likelihood of extension). The post holder will provide Payroll and Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable Support, prepare and process input data for the payroll, creditors/debtors and finance systems. General payroll duties will be fulfilled by the post holder including maintaining electronic filing systems, producing business documents and accurately check output produced by the payroll after the payments run and distribute as appropriate.

Full job spec available if needed.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • An understanding and experience of public sector payroll services
  • Ability to communicate effectively and liaise with staff and clients
  • Experience of using a range of IT systems and Finance software applications
  • Experience of working to deadlines and prioritising workloads
