Finance Assistant - Police

Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting for an experienced Finance Assistant work on a full-time, long-term contract with a local Police Force in Oxfordshire.

This role will be based near Junction 12 of the M4 relocating here towards end of 2022), but with a little bit of agile working, some initial training in Kidlington will be required.

Purpose:
To Provide financial administrative support inthe provision of accurate, timely and appropriate accounting records and management information.

Main responsibilities:
Maintain accurate and timely accounting records in accordance with legislation, accounting standards, and force regulations.

Update financial systems by inputting accurate and timely data;complete any routine administrative functions within the department.

Undertake initial investigations into financial processes and financial data, raising issues and concerns.

Analyse, collate, extract, reconcile and or manipulate financial data.

Essential Experience:
Attained AAT level 2 or equivalent qualification.

Good standard of education with a minimum of 5 GCSEs grade 9-4/A*-C, including maths or equivalent qualifications. Applicants who do not have the required GCSEs but possess relevant qualifications and/or experience will be considered on an individual basis.

Recent experience of working in a financial or administration environment including the provision of accurate, timely and appropriate accounting records and management information
