Service Care Solutions is looking for experienced Ground Maintenance Operative to work for a local authority in Tir-Y-Berth.

Job Purpose:

Ensure that all parks grounds, facilities and open spaces are maintained to a high standard at all times, being fit for purpose and safe for users and the general public to use and enjoy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Efficient operation and use of a wide range of powered plant, vehicles, materials and tools/equipment in order to carry out a range of maintenance operations and new works within the service areas remit.
• Complete maintenance works per season to playing fields, sports areas, preparation and upkeep to flower/rose/scrub bed areas. A large part of the summer duties involves activities around grass cutting operations, including use of mowers, strimmers and clean up post maintenance work.
• Delivery of a productive and efficient service with direct responsibility for small plant, a wide range of handtools, vehicles and machinery across the county borough.

Requirements:

• Full UK Driving License.
• Good grounds maintenance and gardening equipment knowledge.
• Working in unpleasant conditions, extremes of temperature and inclement weather conditions.

Working hours:
Monday to Friday 8am-4pm
