Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting for an experienced Head of Service to join their Children's Services.
Liverpool City Council have an exciting and unique opportunity to lead their newly established Practice Academy within the Children Services.
Full time position, 35 hours per week. £650 per day LTD pay rate.
The main purpose of the job role is to:
- Lead a dynamic and innovative workforce, professional development offer including growing LCC's children and families social work training and development offer.
- Develop, implement, and review the impact of a strategic business plan for "growing our own" children and families social workers, supporting the learning and professional development of the wider workforce and ensuring ongoing learning from practice.
- Work alongside the Director, being clear on the priorities for learning and workforce development and managing them collaboratively to ensure high quality services.
The successful candidate must:
- Be a qualified and registered Social Worker.
- Substantial experience of working in a senior leadership role.
- Experience of front line social work management.
- Up to date enhanced DBS
