Head of Strategic Asset Management

Our client, a Housing Association based in Croydon are looking for a Head of Strategic Asset Management to join their team. This is on an interim contract basis for 3-6 months.

We're looking for an exceptional Head of Service who wants to make a difference and thrives in a challenging environment. If you have a proven track record of delivering a strategic asset management service within a large organisation, a fabulous opportunity has arisen to join our client's Asset Management team and to head their Strategic Asset Management.

What you'll be doing

You'll be the organisational lead ensuring the client implements best practice strategic asset management framework. You'll play a key role to ensure the organisation makes sound investment and divestment decisions based on clear criteria and accurate financial and non-financial datasets. You'll lead the development and application of stock appraisal tools and processes, implementing the asset management strategy and developing and implementing asset quality standards. You'll be the lead client for a range of relevant improvement projects to ensure we have lean and digitally enabled processes. You'll work closely with teams across the business and leading on appraising options and implementing outcomes.

What you'll need

You'll have extensive experience of working at a Head of Service / senior management level in the housing sector. You'll have a proven track record of leading a diverse and dynamic team and demonstrable expertise of actively managing housing portfolio assets to achieve optimum financial performance.

You'll have extensive knowledge of Asset Management databases and datasets, including stock condition survey data, energy performance data and stock appraisal tools.

You'll ensure the Asset Management property database and datasets are continually updated and seamlessly interface with other operational systems. This includes stock condition data and investment programme modelling; planned maintenance module, compliance data, and energy data.

You'll have the experience to set investment priorities and create a suitable programme of planned investment works that maximises value for money, optimises portfolio performance of the organisations assets and meets all statutory requirements and service standards.

You will work with a range of residents and colleagues, so a positive approach to collaborative team working is essential.
