Hearing and Witness Team Manager
Service Care Legal are working with a Scottish Inquiry, based in Edinburgh, which is looking for a Hearing and Witness Team Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for running Inquiry hearings and managing witnesses, including citation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Run Inquiry hearings and manage witnesses
- Citation and management of witnesses
- Excellent organisational skills and people management experience
- Systematic and methodical approach to problem-solving
- Flexibility in approach to the role and a strong team player
- Ability to flex and respond to competing priorities in the moment
Requirements:
- Experience of Inquiry work, litigation, or group litigation would be desirable
- Good understanding of GDPR and other data protection issues would be desirable
- Solicitors are encouraged to apply, but the individual does not need to hold a current practising certificate and will not be working as a solicitor
Qualifications:
- Litigation experience is essential
- A degree in Law is desirable
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
