Job Title: Housing Assistant
Location: Hammersmith and Fulham
Contract Type: Temp - Ongoing

Job Purpose:

As a Housing Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the housing management team to deliver a customer-focused, proactive, and high-quality neighbourhood management service to residents.

Duties:

  • Provide high-quality support to tenancy management teams in various housing management functions, including estate inspections, tenancy audits, fire risk assessment recommendations, tenancy verification checks, ASB management, management of sheds, and maintaining EDMS for the team.
  • Offer a customer-focused reception service, ensuring that the majority of enquiries are resolved at the first point of contact. Connect residents with other services and agencies as needed.
  • Attend home visits, meetings, and events as required, even outside normal working hours.
  • Provide advice on tenancy change applications and assist in preparing for the sign-up of new tenants.
  • Utilise various databases and IT systems to retrieve and record information.
  • Plan, coordinate, and record actions from a programme of tenancy audits.
  • Assist in the introduction of new tenants to their homes, conducting viewings, sign-ups, and new tenant orientations as required.
  • Respond promptly and appropriately to customer email and telephone inquiries.
  • Work collaboratively with other service areas to achieve targets and standards.
  • Support the management of notice boards, ensuring all information is up to date and relevant.
  • Process reports of fly-tipping and abandoned vehicles in line with the organisation's policy.


Qualifications and Skills:

  • Previous experience in housing management or related field.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong organisational and administrative abilities.
  • Proficient in using databases and IT systems.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
