We have an exciting opportunity to join a Housing Association as a Housing Liaison Officer / External Affairs Specialist, dealing with high level customer communications and helping to mature the organisation within the public eye.
The Client:
Our client is a well-established housing association operating across multiple sites in the UK. They are committed to providing quality housing services and support to residents, while also working closely with a variety of stakeholders to ensure the best outcomes for the local communities.
The Role:
As a Housing Liaison Officer, you will be the vital link between the organisation's management and external partners. You will provide specialist advice, foster positive relationships, and ensure that housing services meet regulatory and stakeholder requirements. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong negotiation and relationship-building skills who enjoys working in a dynamic, multi-site environment. This position is primarily remote, there may be a need to attend office or stakeholder sites a few times a month. Ability to work from which office is closest to you (multiple sites across UK).
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary liaison between external stakeholders (including local authorities, community groups, and service providers) and internal management.
- Provide expert advice on housing policies, regulatory compliance, and service delivery.
- Ensure that all communications and agreements between stakeholders and management are aligned with organisational goals.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to improve service delivery and address any concerns raised by stakeholders.
- Attend meetings and represent the organisation at external forums, promoting our values and objectives.
- Lobbying and laying groundwork to spearhead the success of the strategy.
About You:
- Proven experience in a liaison, housing, or stakeholder management role is essential.
- Strong understanding of housing policies and regulations.
- Experience within a Housing Association, local government authority, or similar.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships.
- Ability to work autonomously, manage multiple priorities, and provide clear advice to senior management.
- A proactive and solution-focused approach to challenges.
