Service Care Legal are recruiting on behalf of a London Borough Council who are seeking Housing Litigation Solicitor to join their team on a contract basis. Please find below further details with regards to the role and the responsibilities.

ROLE: Housing Litigation Solicitor
LOCATION: London
CONTRACT: 6 months with possibility of extension
RATE: £50.00 to £55.00 per hour

Please note that this position would require court attendance. Attendance frequency would depend on caseload.

The Role

• To progress a full caseload of Housing Litigation matters through to completion
• Matters will cover a wide range of housing law matters including housing disrepair
• To undertake won advocacy when required to do so in the county, high, crown and magistrate court

The Person

• A qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive or Barrister with a minimum of 12 months PQE
• Previous experience in working within a local authority would be desirable for this position
• Experience in progressing housing law matters, including disrepair, would be essential for this role
