Our Client is looking to hire a Housing Project Officer immediately. The successful candidate would be managing the private accommodation side of the organisation - patch size approximately 160 properties.

Main Responsibilities

The day to day operation of the housing companies landlord function, ensuring that services are responsive to customer and community demands and deliver against measured outputs while contributing to key strategic aims and priorities. Areas of responsibility includes:

  • Estate Management
  • New tenant visits and tenancy sign up
  • Tenancy verification & fraud prevention
  • Service charge management
  • Relationships with freeholders and managing agents
  • Requesting responsive maintenance
  • Supporting asset compliance
  • Addressing anti-social behaviour

Essential Requirements

  • Significant experience of working in housing related role.

  • Awareness of legislation, policy and best practice relating to housing management, rent arrears management and anti-social behaviour.

  • Knowledge of legal enforcement proceedings via the County Court.

  • Knowledge and understanding of the practical application of Health and Safety, and Equal Opportunity Policies.

  • Good general understanding of buildings and maintenance issues
